Nyan-Nyan woke up early in the morning. “I’m going to make the biggest snow cat,” he decided. “When Nelson wakes up, he’ll be so surprised.”
“Push, push,” Nyan-Nyan chanted up the hill. “Push, push.”
“Push, pu–” he slipped!
He tumbled, and…
plop! “Help, help!” Nyan-Nyan shouted. “Help!”
Nelson was enjoying his coffee when he heard a funny noise. “Hmmp, Hmmp!” came the faint noise. “Hmmp!”
“What could it be?” he wondered, as he looked out the window.
“Are those feet? Blue feet? Nyan-Nyan is in trouble!” Nelson ran out into the snow.
“Don’t worry, Nyan-Nyan!” shouted Nelson. “I’ll save you!”
Nelson began to nudge Nyan-Nyan inside. “Roll, roll,” he puffed, “Roll, roll.”
“Melt, melt,” huffed Nelson as he prodded the snowball toward the warmth.
Nelson clicked on the stove. “And now for breakfast,” he mused.
Inside the snowball, Nyan-Nyan heard the hiss of the stove. “Help! Don’t roast me!” he cried, but all Nelson heard was a faint wail.
“Think warm thoughts!” called Nelson to Nyan-Nyan.
Nyan-Nyan shivered.
“Crisp, crisp,” went their breakfast.
The End.
