There once was a girl, who loved her brother’s Charmander.
Charmander went everywhere with the girl.
But one day, the girl went into her car.
Charmander thought he would jump in after her, just as they did every day.
But the girl closed the door.
I’ve got to find her, decided Charmander.
Charmander jumped on the next car that stopped in front of him. The car went down one road.
Then it went down another road.
Then he saw a forest. There’s a forest near my house, thought Charmander, and jumped off the car.
He wandered through the forest. He went this way.
And he went that way.
Maybe if I were a bit taller I could see where I should go, thought Charmander.
He started climbing up a tree.
It was a really tall tree.
Charmander climbed, …
and climbed, and climbed. But all he could see was more forest.
Charmander was getting very hungry.
I know she’ll come get me, said Charmander.
He wiped away his tears. I know she’ll come get me.
Maybe she’ll come on an auto-gyro, thought Charmander, and looked up at the skies. I know she’ll come get me.
It got darker. I think she’ll come get me, thought Charmander.
It got darker. I hope, thought Charmander. I hope she comes to get me.
The sun came up the next day. Charmander opened his eyes.
He jumped and jumped.
And then he saw the little girl’s legs. Funny Charmander, she said and smiled. She knelt down to give him a hug. I missed you so much.
Let’s go in the house, said the little girl. You look hungry. I’ll bet you could eat a big bowl of porridge. And she helped him up the stairs, one step at a time.
